I started playing piano accordion in 2007, and steirische harmonika and "club" button accordion in 2010. I repair and tune using Dirks accordion tuner, but take the important work to Accordions Canada in Toronto. I like all types of music, and am currently fond of German, Scottish style accordion music. I do not speak German, but can talk "schallplatten Deutsch", that is, words I've learned from songs on old vinyl records. You know how tough it is to use "sennerin and sennerbua" in everyday speech??? My all-time favourite musician hero is Charles Mingus, who I saw perform 3 times before he died.
