I am a self-proclaimed-but-really-jus
At the age of 16 or 17 when I had developed a better taste in music, I decided to give it another shot and actually learn to play the kind of music I listened to - by myself. That was when I began practicing a lot and playing along to songs like In Too Deep by Sum 41 (still one of my all-time favorite songs) for hours. I would simplify the drums, but it was fun and I kept going and going. All of a sudden, I noticed I was capable of pretty much playing the entire song and I decided to upload a clip from a practice session and see what others thought, while challenging myself with more advanced songs. I was convinced, not in a million years would I be able to play most of my favorite songs, but here I am doing just that. If you enjoy the music and playing drums itself, don't stop. You don't get anywhere sitting around, doing nothing. Have a little patience and discipline and things will happen.
One more thing: I don't do this for anyone but myself, but I still appreciate every comment, question or other kind of feedback I get. I started to record myself to see and understand mistakes or trouble I would have and I am glad this turned out to be something, that helps some of you to understand and learn the songs and it also feels pretty good realizing that thousands of people kind of know who I am and what I do, even though I don't know any of them. So thank you for that and thank you for reading this incredibly lengthy description. Now get out there and get some!
