Horrible Histories - Blackbeard's Song
The famous pirate and his crew sing about his vicious reign of the high seas.
@LutzDerLurch If you think about it the only way to prove either point would be for some re-enactor who does naval warfare - namely the boarding party raids, to try some reenactment doing a ship board raid carrying so many pistols of naval style and seeing if it is possible, of course the questio...

Horrible Histories - Blackbeard's Song
The famous pirate and his crew sing about his vicious reign of the high seas.
@LutzDerLurch True when it comes to real history and what is told it is probable that he might not have carried all those pistols, of course modern soldier in combat often carry most of the gear they might need and most of it is distributed on their body, but it does all add up when you have to b...

Waking Life Official Trailer
Waking Life
by Richard Linklater (2001)
I find this movie interesting because of all the philosophy in it. In some ways it makes sense even if you don't know what exactly everyone is talking about, if I had to make a guess of what it is about it is about reality and how we look at it, but the main character is in fact dreaming wonderin...

P-51 Airfield Strafing Runs (C.1945)
(Color, Silent) Unknown raid on Japanese airfields.
@Xiolablu3 What I do know is that they lost many of their capable pilots in the Battle of Midway and else where in the Pacific. I also know they were losing much of their merchant shipping from sub attacks. I also know they were desperate to stop the US naval fleet but they also had to deal with ...

One has to wonder what would have happened if Japan had trained their fliers to be fighter pilots rather then one off Kamakazie fliers.

@colleen4ever You make an interesting point, it has been on DVD in this country for some time and there is no chance of it being shown anytime on US TV unless it is some pay-TV channel show, and even then they might not show the final one. Still it is hilarious don't you think?:)

"Killing Time" by James Coe
I hope you like feeling a little disturbed...
Done with: Poser, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Flash, Truespace, Reason, Audition, and Good ol' pencil, ...
The ending reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft's The Outsider, where the narrator comes across something hideous but finds out it is his own image in a polished sheet of glass.

Shooting 9mm German Plastic Training Ammo
Once again I'm shooting the German 9mm Plastic Training Ammo, but this time we shoot water jugs at close range
I've seen a bakelite round the Germans used in WWII at the West Point Museum and it reminds me of that round you were showing. I was wondering if those rounds were actually shootable considering what I saw here?

@sobekflakmonkey Nothing really against the Canadians really, especially since the Lynx also lives in the Northern parts of the United States and Alaska, but I heard that was one of the names of the Bobcat, which incidentally is in the lynx family.

Ghost Of Blue Bell Hill (1/2)
A Great Programme I recorded back in the 90's..The Ghost of Blue Bell Hill.
Not a pleasant experience, first you think you've run over someone and possibly killed them. Then you hear of a ghost that purposely runs in front of peoples' cars. Now you are stuck with the feeling a supernatural entity has played with you. At least however, with a ghost you are then relieved t...

60th China anniversary National Day Girls Parade Boot Camp Training Review
60 Years' China National Day Girls Parade Boot Camp training reviews & Parade march through the Tienanmen square on 10-01-2009. they were amazing...
On one level their outfits remind me of NFL cheerleaders, basic eye candy, while their marching reminds me of Sun Tzu drilling the emperor's concubines making them into disciplined warriors. Their uniforms are attractive but their marching shows discipline.

All Quiet On The Western Front - The Kaiser
Scene from the movie.
I liked how the actor who played the Kaiser held his sword with his left hand to hide his deformity in that arm. It was very mindful of the history of that time.

@back2frinky The opening stunts had to be one of the most amazing in the history of the Bond films, outlandish yes but definitely thrilling as a sequence should be in a James Bond film. I definitely agree with the last one especially the twist ending in it. In fact the show had brilliant twist endings particularly the one titled Cape and Cowel. Like the "Almost Got Him" episode the twist comes out from nowhere and you don't even see it coming.

The Prince of Egypt in my opinion is one of the best feature length animated films of all time. It has all the qualities of a vintage Disney film but with out the mindless cliques. The animation and artwork are brilliant as are the voices and the story line.

If there is one thing I like about the original it was that it was filmed in Germany which gave it an other worldly feeling to it, rather then filming it in either Britain or America. It just made it feel more Dahl-ish.

I read the book way back when and Burton's version while it might not be on par with the original that Dahl himself wrote the screenplay too, it does follow the book more closely. Haunted Castle Lympne, Fear Reduction Techniques !
A haunted castle investigation at Lympne in Kent, England.
There is an old saying that those who don't believe in ghosts are terrified of them, also from what I hear English cooking is terrible so the kitchen would be the most haunted place in the castle.

Mongol (battle)
New Russian/German movie about Genghis Khan.
I once heard that when the Mongols attacked they first made a vicious attack then would pull back causing their enemies to chase after them whereupon they would bring down withering arrow fire upon their enemy. I heard they did this Europe and this looks like what they did in this movie.
