About Otan Vargas Music Channel
Otan Vargas (Born on October 4, 1984 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino who moved to New York in 2006. He is proud to say that he was born and raised in Tondo, known to be the poorest place in Manila--"A Place" that emphatically influenced his music.
On February 14, 2009 at The Music Box Borgata Hotel and Casinos. Aaron Lewis,the vocalist from the band Staind, called him up on stage to perform "Its Been Awhile".His rendition of Its Been Awhile warranted a standing ovation from the entire crowd.
Otan Vargas performed in front of thousands of people in the summer of 2010 at Jones Beach Boardwalk Bandshell in Long Island NY. Opening up for A Chicago Tribute band The Beginnings.
On August 20th of 2011 Otan Vargas played at the "It Takes A Community" benefit show in Northampton, Massachusetts. The concert was graced by top performers like Aaron Lewis of Staind, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Tesla and Lo Pro.
