Your video footage makes Liverpool look like an absolute dump!!! Its a great pity you weren't standing somewhere else when you were filming. This shows the waterfront in a very poor light- a very mis leading impression of the landing stage and not a good advert at all for Liverpool

I believe ( if you'l pardon the pun ) that this is the original recording with which he had the hit.He recorded it many other times but I think this is the original and best version of them all. Perhaps someone could confirm this?

@scabycat I would just add that Boult also recorded the same piece with the LSO and is available on utube- NOT AS GOOD !!! The LPO seems much warmer and fuller and more powerful. The LSO recording is very " shrill" - accoustics perhaps?
