Well, I've been playing bass for about a year and a half now and it is somewhat hard to get into, but it is the kind of instrument that you will get good at. I find that is is more fun to play than the guitar (even though I play some guitar and it is pretty fun). In terms of songs, float on was the first mm song I learned how to play. Very easy note progression, same goes with tiny cities made of ashes and gravity rides everything (that one is REALLY easy). I would try to avoid songs like Dark center, dashboard, the view, teeth like gods shoeshine, i came as a rat, etc. Cause those will take some experience.
