Petrucci plays fast. big deal. Satch is the man!...so fuckin funky and he uses the entire neck very well...To me, Vai and Petrucci sound a bit monotonous, while Satch always sounds fresh. But they're obviously all great.

he's been bitching about things like that for years. He doesn't seem to like the "cookie cutter" bands but the only thing I find funny is that he was/is part of one of the stereotypical mid-2000's "screamo bands." He needs to realize though, that image has ALWAYS been a part of music.
