@romanmicagearguy If you did not review the Raptor in 2011, it was your loss. As someone who lives on the roughest road in your area, I know that the Raptor is the right tool for that job, and it just keeps getting better with the Torsen front diff.

I bought a pair of the 2010-11 El Dictators. I love these skis. I am big (230#, 6'3") with strong quads. The ski requires more work than my Shoguns and is less forgiving, but boy does it reward your efforts. It is a speed merchant.

@MrNitehawk79 The Raptor, in off-road mode, actually will stop faster than most 4x4s. It changes the ABS program to allow the tires to lock up under about 5mph. That lets you build a berm in front of the tire and stops you faster in deep snow.

I'm a volunteer firefighter in that area, and I've worked calls with John Seifert. He is as professional as they get. This must have been unbelievably stressful for him, but he had trained well, and did as he was trained. John Seifert is a true hero.

@xHefpioTx The last I heard, Joe is up to 360 guitars. Four or five years ago, when he was not making as much money, he toured with a rolling case of 13 guitars. I don't think he takes that many on the road anymore, especially since he signed with Gibson.

People focused on the Raptor's jumping. That's silly. The Raptor is superb at running fast down rough roads. That's what it does. The jumps are for kids that don't know any better.

You end up with an extra foot of wheelbase with the crew cab. That makes it less "tossable". They put a faster steering gear on it, to make it feel more tossable, but the SCrew is the way to go, if you actually slide sideways a lot.

Just wish she would do more US shows. She does so many in the Netherlands, but few here in the US.

This is a "concept" truck, that sits on a platform at car shows. Ford starting selling the SVT Raptor with the 2009 model. They're taking orders for the 2011 model right now. It has been so popular that in April 2011, Ford sold more Raptors (at prices approaching $50K) than Honda sold Ridgelines...

OK. It has 16" of travel, but is now 9" wider than stock. There's a LOT of fabrication involved.
