Hello! I'm Angela Jia Kim. I'm originally from Ames, Iowa and now live in Manhattan with my husband, baby daughter, and our dog Ella Fitzgerald. I'm a lifestyle and entrepreneur expert, green beauty guru, vlogger, vision book creator, former concert pianist, and passionate woman-entrepreneur advocate. I own two businesses, Om Aroma & Co. (anti-aging fresh organic beauty) and Savor the Success (premium business network for women entrepreneurs).

Nowadays, I embrace the gorgeous chaos of my life. But it hasn't always been that way.

During my childhood and all the way through high school, I was depressed, unhappy, insecure, and battled with eating disorders. It came from a deep sense of not being accepted in school or at home.

At school, I was often called "Chink" and even had a guy dump me because I was "Kerian" (I think he meant Korean).

On top of it, my family life was chaotic and stressful. My dad was a workaholic who expected all of us to excel at piano, violin, math, and everything in-between. We were not allowed to relax or go outside to play. If I made a mistake at the piano or I wasn't being productive with every minute, chaos would ensue. I learned very early on that making mistakes equaled being punished.

My dad died when I was 13, and I felt chained to his dream for me to become a concert pianist. Perhaps it came from a sense of guilt because he lived such a short life of 39 years. I had to live on for him. So I got my act together, went to a major music conservatory in NY, and lived out his dream for the next ten years.

While on tour in 2005, I put on a lotion right before a concert. I broke out into horrible hives, which changed my life forever. I began making my own creams in my tiny Manhattan kitchen as an outlet for the first hobby I ever had. Not only was it physically healing (wrinkles, eczema, rosacea, etc.), it was an emotionally and spiritually-healing process.

Eventually this became a business, and I am now living my own dream. I feel confident, happy, and unconquerable. And I've vowed to help others to do the same. I believe you can do anything with the right combination of practicality, discipline, and a little "attraction magic".

I've made a million mistakes on the way, and instead of punishing myself for it, I now embrace it and use the lessons learned to teach others. I believe that my skincare company is not only meant to help people get green and gorgeous, it is meant to inspire others to live their dreams.

Hey, if a Korean concert pianist from Iowa can launch a successful organic skincare company in Manhattan, you can do anything YOU want to do!
