Emily is an incredible young lady. She is only 11 and has a huge heart and has taken it upon herself to make people aware of the need to care for horses that are either abandoned, abused or headed for slaughter. She has made videos on youtube and created her own social network, Save a Horse; Save a Life at http://donate2save.ning.com and is raising money for the Heavenly Horse Haven in Anza, CA. She would take her little homemade signs and collect money from friends and family...setting up camp at the front door as people would leave birthday parties and get-togethers. All her idea by the way. Emily and her friend raised about $500 in about 10 days for an abandoned horse named Ringo that needed medical attention. He was skin and bones and his hooves were overgrown to the point of affecting his ability to walk. Ringo has been saved and well on his way to recovery. She has also caught the attention of Gutz Media Training Online when she entered their "Next Viral Marketer" contest to spread the word and get attention for the horses in need. They were so moved by Emily and her determination to help, that because of her young age she was made the "Honorary Winner" and they are now having a contest between 2 teams to see which team can raise the most money for Emily's cause. Her passion for horses is real and has been going on a very long time. It is Emily's dream to be able to go on the Ellen Degeneres show and share with the world, this incredible need. It does not occur to her that she will fail. She calls it "positive knowing." We are all so proud of her and the fact that she has so much love.
