Amerykański batalion pod dowództwem byłego prawnika z Wall Street majora Charlesa Whittlesey zostaje otoczony w lasach Argonne we Francji. Ponad 500 żołnierzy znajduje się w sytuacji bez wyjścia. Śmiertelne zagrożenie stanowi nie tylko armia wroga, ale także amerykańska artyleria, której ostrzał trafia również we własne oddziały. Pierwsi żołnierze giną od kul niemieckich snajperów. Prawdziwa masakra zaczyna się, gdy batalion znajduje się w zasięgu broni maszynowej wroga. Młodzi żołnierze mają tylko dwie opcję: poddać sie lub zginąć.
Story based on facts. October 1918, the last weeks of World War I. The American battalion under the command of a former Wall Street lawyer from Major Charles Whittlesey is surrounded in the Argonne Forest in France. More than 500 soldiers are in a hopeless situation. A mortal threat is not only the enemy army, but also an American artillery barrage which goes well with their own troops. The first soldiers were killed by bullets of German snipers. The real massacre begins when the battalion is in range of enemy machine guns. Young soldiers are only two options: surrender or die
