What you see are three short videos made by my husband one sunny afternoon in attempt to capture the atmosphere of the "finished circle" of the calendar of our ancestors, an artwork over which he spent seven years of thinking, researching, restoring and, most of all carving the reliefs, an effort of the body and mind, that lead to the most spectacular result you can now see before you. The videos are taken by a friend of his, for just several minutes in the city park of Razlog(Bulgaria), and are sincerely nothing more than "raw material". Still I hope they give some idea to the viewer of the meaning of the calendar in its entirety, its symbols and their "way out" of the mountain stone, as Assen explains how he wanted them to be shaped and brought to life. I am certain we are going to make a better visual representation of this monument but for now I'll leave the videos uploaded for those of you who want to enjoy them! Thanks for visiting!
