Sara Maria Gonzales started her violin lessons under Prof. Jeffrey Solares as a scholar at the Salvador and Pilar Sala Foundation in Cebu City, Philippines founded by Dr. Ingrid-Sala Santamaria. She is currently enrolled as a fourth year Bachelor of Music Major in Violin at St. Scholastica's College Music School under Prof. Arturo Molina. She plays with the Manila Symphony Orchestra in the First Violin section. She is also the second violinsit of Quartetto Espressivo together with Joseph Brian Cimafranca as first violinist, Rey Casey Concepcion as violist, and Gerry Graham Gonzales as celist. Sara recently received her Primary Level Teacher Certification as Suzuki Method Violin Instructor and won the First Prize in the 2008 National Music Competition for Young Artists in the Philippines, Violin Category C.
