Thanks again for everyone's support. To answer the question. Burnsy has passed away. I was away when it happened so I can't give details but it is confirmed. It happened around June 10th 2008.
It's for sure. He's in kitty heaven.

On a positive note, the donations in Burnsy's name seemed to to a lot of good so I hope that if you are in a position to donate, feel free to make a donation to your local no-kill animal shelter. The people who run them usually go above and beyond to help.
I live in Canada so here are examples of local shelters that people can donate to if they also live nearby.

I'm so sorry about Burnsy. He was so adorable! I know that this comes quite late, but I think I feel just same way that you too; my 4 years old cat Jesse just passed away, 'cause he was very sick. I hope he's now in cat heaven playing whit Burnsy and the other cats.
I wish you best and I send you some hugs from Finland!

my cat Max was my best friend ever! :( He died on June 3, 2008.
i found about it after 4H camp! he died right next to his bed and he was only 3 years old and he also had a breathing problem! Burnsey and Max are playing right now in kitty heaven right now :)
