Was not referring to Frank Sinatra being forced out of the US, but Lee Hazlewood. Lee died 4y ago, aug. 2007 in Stockholm.

88 B29s, formed into 9 squadrons, were flown by the RAF in Europe and, following the tradition of namings bombers after cities, were known as the Boeing Washington.

These were as a stopgap between the retirement of the Lincoln and the entry into service of the Canberra.
