The San Quentin Media Project was the brainchild of Troy Williams, Christopher Shurn, Marvin Andrews, Buckshot Maples, Tuleo Cordozo, and Kenny Stallings. These men saw an opportunity to share their experiences and positive messages with youth struggling in the neighborhoods where they started a life of crime. Inspired by their vision and courage they were supported by then Warden Robert Ayers, and with the help of Apple of Discord Productions along with local independent filmmakers, the San Quentin Media Project was born.
