About this user

I've rarely met a craft I didn't like, and have all the gadgetry to prove it. You'll often find me in my sewing and crafting room where I design and make garments, quilts, scrapbooks, cards, paper crafts, dolls, home decor and jewelry; just to name a few.

One of my most recent new passions is making glass beads on a torch. It's called lampworking and it's fun! (Google it and watch the videos, I think you'll agree.)

Crafting, sewing and making things with my hands have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories involve sitting at my grandmother's kitchen table surrounded by an array of sequins, glitter and beads. She loved to make beaded Christmas ornaments, and it was always wonderful to sit and chat while our hands were busy.

I've been married for 23 years to my wonderful husband, Gary, who completely supports me in all my new crafting endeavors, and never gripes at me about all the "necessary" supplies. We have two grown sons, whom I had the pleasure of homeschooling through most of their school years. I thoroughly enjoyed spending that time with them, but it is nice to now have a bit more time for creative endeavors.

So many times I've been asked to teach my crafts to others, and I've found I love doing so. My blog, as far as I'm concerned, is the ultimate teaching tool. It's my hope that with every post you will come away enriched and inspired. If I've done that, then I consider myself successful.
