Bill's cancer surgery was in the early '80s and had nothing to do with his passing in 1996. The Brentrup sounds great, and nice playing. BTW check that note you hit at 1:29 and 3:43. You're playing an E note, whereas I'm pretty sure Bill gets an F there, or another "blue note" if it's not F.
