sandbar3000 . . .this channel started out as a "religious" channel in 2009. Now to 2012. . . .While I can not consider myself a Christian anymore than I can consider myself a cat or dog, I do consider myself some type of theist (as I am still a living being, just as cats and dogs are). However, I ask many more questions about who the God of the Bible is, and I question the God of the Bible directly. I think of him as a person, just as I am. And I'm not scared to question "Him" anymore. I guess I look at this god like any other god. Is this bad? Christians may say yes. I have to admit that I have some anger towards Christians or perhps only toward fundies. I was brainwashed! Right now I feel closer to atheists since I like to think outside the box.
I did MANY videos on Autism, Asperger Syndrome and mental health back in 2009. I used to do many religious videos back then. But I took over half of those videos down since I do not agree 100% with the Bible (or how it is interpreted). I have 70 vids up.
I'm questioning my religious beliefs at this time. I do not need preaching! I do not feel the need to go to church now. It's nice to know that I don't need to feel guilty for not going and I can make my own rules and laws.
If you enjoy going to church, that is good. But please do not project your feelings of church on to me.
My passions include holistic psychology, HR, my dogs, painting and music. I volunteer at a local non-profit about 5 hours a week and feed the homeless on Saturdays.
Users back in 2010 were asking me if I have really read the entire Bible. Yes - about 15 times - took 9-10 years. I don't read the Bible too much now. If I do, I question God Himself.

I like Buddhism and how it's approaches suffering. For some odd reason, Christians likes to put everything on SIN and I don't believe that is right or ethical.

I'm not part of the Alliance of Christ. Christ said "if the world hate you, it hated me first." I Studied baptist history in 1993-1995. I beleive I was brainwashed for 20 years. This is why I'm questioning my beliefs now.

I left a few links up so people can see where I came from in my belief system. I've been a baptist for 20 years and I just left that baptist church in 2011. I feel so much more free knowing that I don't need to be right.

Salvation Testimony:
I got saved in August of 1991 in my bedroom. I was 16 then. After 6 months, I started to go to church. As a babe in Christ, I learned that Christians need to pray for families to get SAVED. I believed the Bible since I was convicted of my SIN by the Holy Spirit. But as 2010 I'm not reading my Bible as much.
I am not from a catholic background, nor was a raised by Christian parents. I'm not a JW.

Evolution says nothing about OUR SIN NATURE!! But I do not believe we were born as sinner. If you look at a child and think of their brain, they don't understand or know logic. That child brain does not have all of the connections. So, how can some fundie Christian say "A baby is BORN a sinner"? That verse about David in Psalms was about David's Mother being "wicked" in sexual sin. It does not apply to all people. David was born in sin due to his mama's actions. Babies are not sinners. They don't know what sin is. We learn what sin is by our parents teaching us or by culture. Sin is a concept of right and wrong and something against a god. I was not born a sinner. I learned what sin was and now If I do something against the God of the Bible, according to the Bible, I am a sinner now. I'm not sure when the brain starts to make connections between left and right brain, but a teenager does have SOME ability to reason. I would never tell my 2 or 3 year old that they were BORN a sinner. Children are innocent beings.
