About Me:

Having spent thousands of hours in the study of the scriptures, I have come to the logical conclusion that God can and will save the entirety of his creation. I stake my claim with the Apostles and the predominantly universalist early church, who believed that God's love ultimately triumphs over all. God will destroy all enemies by making them His friends

To Mr. enthralledbylight,
Rather than emailing you, I will very pointedly and briefly refute your straw man arguments. As debaters are rarely converted (due to wanting to win), I will post this for others that may have an open mind to the truth. The conversation between you and I begins and ends here. No further back and forth cheap shots will be tolerated on this channel. Having said this, I wish you the best in your quest for biblical truth.
"1. the apostles never proclaimed universal salvation."
This is a very vague, general statement. As your other statements are more precise, I will answer the above by refuting your more precise arguments.

"2. you misunderstand the use of the word "all" in scriipture."
Though many could be given, I will destroy your argument with a single passage taken in it's God-given contest. Read carefully the writings of the "Apostle" Paul in Colossians 1:16-20:
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

I personally don't know of a single scholar that would deny that verse 16 above is referring to the entirety of God's creation. The word ALL includes all of mankind in verse 16 per your own theologians. The same ALL " in heaven and earth" will be reconciled by the blood of his cross per verse 20. To attempt to make the ALL of verse 16 different from the all of verse 20 is textual manipulation.
A contextual analysis of the passage clearly affirms the salvation of the ALL of verse 16.

"3. there is no ressurection after the second death i.e. lake of fire. You can't provide 1 scripture, no not one."

Since you are interested in resurrection we will go to the great resurrection chapter of the bible:
21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. I Cor 15:21,22
According to I Cor 15:21,22 above ALL that died in Adam shall be made alive in Christ. Thus ALL of mankind will not only be resurrected, but (in their own order vs 23) will be resurrected unto salvation. As we continue to contextually observe the following verses we find that:

1. All enemies are subjected through Christ's reign. I Cor 15:25 (see also Romans 5:10)
2. Christ is subjected to God. I Cor 15:28 (Notice the enemies and Christ himself become subject. This is clearly not referring to eternal torment.)
3. Death is destroyed. I Cor 15:26 If one person remains in the lake of fire i.e. second death, then death is not destroyed. Death is destroyed by means of resurrection. I Cor 15:54
3. God become ALL in ALL, not ALL in SOME! I Cor 15:28 The all mentioned in the preceding verses reference the entirety of God's intelligent creation, including Christ's enemies.

Enthralled claims, "3. there is no ressurection after the second death i.e. lake of fire. You can't provide 1 scripture, no not one."
His statement has not stood per the above mentioned Apostle's own words in I Cor 15. Since the lake of fire and second death are spoken of in Rev 20, we shall go there to see the outcome of this second death. Since there were no chapter divisions in the original writings, we shall follow the context through to determine if indeed there is no resurrection from the second death. Note that the following chronological sequence of events involves those in the city and those in the lake of fire. No other class is mentioned in the text.
1. Whosoever is not found in book of life is cast into lake of fire. Rev 20:15
2. The gates of the city are always open. Rev 21:25 (This is a quotation from Isa 60:11 which clearly speaks of evangelism according to orthodox scholars.)

3. The river of life is offered to whosoever will. Rev 22:1,17 (See also John 4:10)
4. The healing of the nations is still occurring. Rev 22:2
5. The inhabitants of the city continue to reign. Rev 22:5 ( Over whom shall they reign? Over the lake of fire occupants of course. The entire purpose of Christ's reign with his saints is that all will be subjected unto God that he may be all in all. Only after this has been accomplished will the reign cease. I Cor 15:21-28)
We have clearly shown by examination of the inspired text that the word ALL does indeed refer to the salvation of ALL mankind. We have also shown that there is salvation after the lake of fire by the scriptures themselves, of which our opponent has said there is not even one! I rest my case on the words of holy writ and my soul in the hands of him who taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29

You are wrong on many levels, where to start...

1. the apostles never proclaimed universal salvation.
2. you misunderstand the use of the word "all" in scriipture.
3. there is no ressurection after the second death i.e. lake of fire. You can't provide 1 scripture, no not one.

that's just a start. mail me and let's get this started.

Well since everyone's going to Heaven, at least I can have sex and party with everyone. I can steal things from Walmart, but I just know it. God loves me. God will forgive me in the end, I know it :)
