Pakistan Army Drama Wilco was another milestone. Wilco is a joint venture of Inter services Public Relation (ISPR) and 7th Sky Entertainment. The story of the drama serial was based on true events of Bravery, Sacrifice and Courage. Wilco was a treat for the television audience who had been deprived of the quality entertainment. Its powerful direction that depicted our vivid land through the lens, captured the diversity of locations from the desert of Thar, lush green valleys of Muzzafarabad to the River Tavi in Sialkot, all the way to the snow clad mountain in the north, near the Nanga Perbat Base camp. Wilco is a perfect balance in the military and civil way of life. It depicted in most striking way the service, hardships and the contribution of Pakistan Army, not just during war time, but also during natural calamities and disasters. Wilco has been produced by Abdullah Qadwani and Humayun Saeed, directed by Ahson Talish and penned by Mohammad Ahmed. Lt Colonel Syad Mujtaba Tirmizi was the Executive Producer of this drama serial. Cast of Wilco includes Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ahson Talish, Laila Zuberi, Raju Jamil, Ainne, Amna Sheikh, Beenish Chohan, Capt. Dr, Lubna, Imran Abbass, Danish Taimur, Rashid Farooqi, Rashid Mahmood, Seemi Raheel and Zainab Qayum. It is pertinent to mention that the Drama Wilco was one of the most popular programmes made on Armed Forces. Besides this, many other joint ventures between ISPR and 7th Sky Entertainment are under way. We are always with our brave and proud soldiers, and, in any crisis, we will be there within seconds to fight for the nation and the country. The production of this serial has provided us a great opportunity to observe our forces and their routine very closely. [Courtesy: Inter services Public Relation]

Operation Dwarka also known as Operation Somnath, was the popular name given to Pakistan Navy's attack on the Indian coastal town of Dwarka on September 7, 1965. This was the first use of a Navy in the Indo-Pakistan Wars. On the night of September 7 Pakistan Navy launched its assault on Western Indian shores. Dwarka was chosen for its proximity, (200 km from Karachi Port) relatively less guarded port and historical relevance. The plan called for a fleet of 7 naval vessels of Pakistan to bomb the tiny town of Dwarka. Operation Dwarka was a significant one, even celebrating September 8 as Victory Day by Pakistan Navy.

On November 14, 1971 it sailed out of harbour on a reconnaissance patrol under the command of Cdr Zafar Muhammad Khan with 92 hands on board. It was expected to report on November 26. The submarine was to sail 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) around the Indian peninsula from the Arabian Sea to the Bay of Bengal. PNS Ghazi (S-130) was a United States-built submarine that was leased by Pakistan in 1963. It operated in the 1965 and 1971 wars between Pakistan and India and was Pakistan's first submarine and remained the flagship submarine for Pakistan Navy until it sank in 1971. It sank off the fairway buoy of Visakhapatnam near eastern coast of India under unclear circumstances during the 1971 war. In 1965 war Ghazi was used in the Second Kashmir War in 1965 to attack heavy ships of the Indian Navy or ships aiding Operation Dwarka, though it didn't score any hits. It was a significant threat in the 1965 Indo-Pakistani war. It won 10 awards including two decorations of Sitara-e-Jurat and the President's citations.

August 20, 1971, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas, a pilot still under training, was in the front seat of jet a trainer, taxiing out for take-off. An instructor pilot from the same unit forced his way into the rear cockpit, seized control of the aircraft and having taken off, headed the aircraft towards India. With just 40 miles of Pakistan territory remaining, Minhas had only one course open to him to prevent his aircraft from entering India. Without hesitation and living up to the highest traditions of the Pakistan Air Force, Rashid Minhas tried to regain control of his aircraft, but finding this to be impossible in the face of the superior skill and experience of his instructor, forced the aircraft to crash at a point 32 miles from the Indian border. In doing so, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas deliberately made the supreme sacrifice for the honour of Pakistan and the service to which he belonged. For this act of heroism above and beyond the call of duty, the President of Pakistan awarded Nishan-i-Haider to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas.
