About Saleem
SALEEM, born and bred in Baltimore, has performed in prominent metropolitan venues as well as in café-like coves throughout the East Coast since 2004. He and his band, The Music Lovers have opened for Talib Kweli, KRS-1, Rakim, and the Wu-Tang Clan within this past year. As the writer and producer for his 17-track debut album Hip Hop Revisited, Saleem has been described as the embodiment of hip hops evolution. His desire to incorporate live instrumentation into his music led Saleem to form his group, The Music Lovers, in December 2005. With continued performances throughout the Baltimore/D.C. area, Saleem & The Music Lovers continue to attract a diverse listening audience eager to explore hip hops higher plane.
