This documentary gets inside the world of the most fearsome indians of the Amazonia, the so called Korubo. The cameras will be able to shoot for the first time the daily life of this secret Brazilian tribe. Feared by the nearby tribes, they are known as "Head crashers" by the white colonists because of their extraordinary ability to make use of huge sticks. This tribe has suffered a real persecution for many years. Our crew made a great effort to gain the confidence of these unpredictable natives. An unplanned fact made easier the approach to the fearsome tribe. The documentary will show how their queen Maiaá, who was suffering malaria, could be saved by us. The gratitude allowed our cameras to shoot their daily life including amazing moments such as the electric fish hunt or enjoying the children's games. A journey to the heart of this people and their fight for survival.

De acuerdo a estudios científicos, el Parque Yasuní ubicado en la Región amazónica ecuatoriana, en las provincias de Orellana y Pastaza, es la región de mayor diversidad biológica del mundo.
También es territorio Huaoroni. En la actualidad muchas personas de este pueblo han perdido su tradición de cazadores -- recolectores y, de ser independientes, han pasado a ser dependientes de las empresas petroleras. Les han hecho dependientes de la alimentación y medicina que ellos les proveen, produciendo profundos cambios en sus hábitos alimenticios. La incursión de trabajadores petroleros en el territorio Huaorani ha significado además la introducción de enfermedades graves como la Hepatitis B, desnutrición e impactos culturales.Tres clanes denominados Tagaeri, Taromenane y Oñamenane decidieron evitar todo contacto con el mundo exterior y han mantenido su forma de vida gracias a que mantienen territorios poco intervenidos.
En 1989 el Parque Nacional Yasuní entra a formar parte de la Reserva Mundial de Biosfera, dentro del programa del Hombre y de la Biosfera de la UNESCO.Como consecuencia sólo se podrán realizar actividades cooperativas compatibles con prácticas ecológicas racionales.Para cualquier actividad de extracción en la zona se debería pedir permiso en asamblea o realizar una consulta popular.
La propuesta Yasuní IIT:
El objetivo de la propuesta es resolver de manera creativa una amenaza como es la extracción del crudo del proyecto ITT localizado en un sitio de alta vulnerabilidad: el Parque Nacional Yasuní, con un efecto positivo en la conservación de la biodiversidad, la reducción de emisiones del CO2 y el respeto a los derechos de los pueblos indígenas y su forma de vida.
EL Presidente de la República, Rafael Correa ha señalado que la primera opción para el país es mantener el crudo represado en el subsuelo. Se buscaría estimular a la sociedad nacional e internacional para contribuir con el Estado Ecuatoriano en la aplicación de esta costosa decisión nacional. La expectativa del gobierno es lograr por esta vía el 50% de lo que obtendría de extraer el crudo de ese proyecto.
El procedimiento consiste en que el Estado emita bonos por el crudo que permanecerá "in situ", con el doble compromiso de no extraer nunca ese crudo y de proteger el Parque Nacional Yasuní.
Es importante tener en cuenta que el Estado recibiría 350 millones de dólares durante 10 años, desde el año 6to y a partir de entonces habría un decrecimiento constante. Se busca generar una alternativa que produzca al Estado el 50 % de estos recursos, y que pueda representar una renta en forma indefinida.
Estos montos serían destinados a actividades que liberen al país de la dependencia a las exportaciones e importaciones y que consoliden su soberanía alimentaria.
