i'll boil down this argument: you need a supernatural belief system to know right from wrong. this is nonsense, and obviously the opposite is true: you often need a supernatural reason to commit atrocities.

@dmansfire i was indoctrinated in a religious school, but i still came to the same realization in my childhood: these people were no authorities on morality. the concept of infinite torture for the crime of disbelief is sadistic, and this bothered my conscience as a 7 year old.

@HRage i have the same question about theology/religiously "philosophical" degrees that can be attained at seemingly secular institutions. if you have any info on how this travesty continues into the 21st century, please share. it just looks like a degree in magic to me, a shameful reality.
