Check out Mike Thorne on Wiki. He produced the first three Wire albums and played the cool piano solo on this track. He's a dude.

@MrSKINFLICK Wire and XTC rule the waves, and their ideas are still being 'borrowed' to this day. Bands have to have a member called Colin to truly stand apart.

Even after 31 years, this in my opinion is one of the best pieces of music you could ever hope to hear. There are NO better groups than Wire! :)

@kenichisaitohchenii I always thought the song for his daughter was 'Ongaku' off the same album. It says this song was written by Yuki and Ryuichi on the credits, and the Japanese lyrics are by someone not in YMO. Apparently, said daughter has a band of her own nowadays.

This is not very good compared to 'Cue', and the riff is fairly obviously borrowed from it

I'm fast coming to the conclusion that I think this is both awful excessive 80's toss, AND sublime and unique pop genius both at the same time. You've a hard heart if you don't like something about that middle 8.....
