I was born in Victoria, BC, Canada. I started my music career by busking in the streets of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, England, etc, drawing crowds ranging in size from zero (character building) to 50 (which drew the local police). I have countless cool stories from busking and hitchhiking, but this bio is going to be long enough without them. Catch me after a show sometime and I'll share a story or two.

Press the little >> button on the life-playback machine and I found myself in the U.S.A. working on some basic demo recordings and playing at a few venues in Los Angeles. A woman at one of my shows fell in love with 'No Way Home' and wanted to use it in her independent movie. For what seemed to be a good amount of money at the time, I gave her a copy and then immediately took that money to purchase some recording gear and other odds and ends to begin working on a bit more professional recording. The clouds parted, the angels sang, and I had created my first EP, 'Halo'.

The success of 'Halo' allowed me to put a band together to play more shows. It also attracted many new fans on the Web, and copies of the CD have shipped all around the world. The proceeds from 'Halo' enabled me to get some more gear for my studio and also buy some time so that I could start working on my next project, 'Mercy', a full-length album.

The songs on 'Mercy' were born from despair, from death, failed relationships, war, etc. It's a pretty dark and melancholy album, but it's also a very honest soul-searching musical journey into some dark areas. There have been some demo versions of a couple of the songs online for a few months now, and the reaction to those has been very strong, and people have already made great personal connections with them.

Now I'm just working on promoting the album, and planning a tour. It's a great time to be an independent artist and I feel very fortunate to have the ability to have direct relationships with fans of my music. I'm looking forward to getting 'Mercy' out there and playing some shows. I have to get back home at some point though, I already have the next album written and I'm eager to start recording again.
