What a shame? washing the seeds in water!

I treid doing this on my TM6.5 with e57 pump but non of the rams moved. The Rams moved when I used the pump but not without the pump. What else do I need to loosen up? I took off the hoses too.

I went to do the same but the rams did not move without running the pump. I even opened the hose and still couldn't move any of the rams to the left or right. Could you please comment on that?
