قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ (3:64)

کہہ دو کہ اے اہل کتاب جو بات ہمارے اور تمہارے دونوں کے درمیان یکساں (تسلیم کی گئی) ہے اس کی طرف آؤ وہ یہ کہ خدا کے سوا ہم کسی کی عبادت نہ کریں اور اس کے ساتھ کسی چیز کو شریک نہ بنائیں اور ہم میں سے کوئی کسی کو خدا کے سوا اپنا کار ساز نہ سمجھے اگر یہ لوگ (اس بات کو) نہ مانیں تو (ان سے) کہہ دو کہ تم گواہ رہو کہ ہم (خدا کے) فرماں بردار ہیں (3:64)

Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).‎ (3:64)

Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.‎ (2:79)

But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever).‎ (2:82)

(جن معبودوں کو تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو وہ سب مل کر ایک مکھی بھی پیدا کرنا چاہیں تو نہیں کر سکتے بلکہ اگر مکھی ان سے کوئی چیز چھین لے جائے تو وہ اسے چھڑا بھی نہیں سکتے۔ مدد چاہنے والے بھی کمزور اور جن سے مدد چاہی جاتی ہے وہ کمزور۔ ان لوگوں نے اللہ کی قدر ہی نہ پہچانی جیسا کہ اس کے پہچاننے کا حق ہے۔ واقعہ یہ ہے کہ قوت و عزت والا تو اللہ ہی ہے۔)
