As you have a belt sander, you could make it a super cutter by regrinding it with a halfheight, or more, zero grind convex primary bevel. I did one by hand, which took FOREVER, but it slices really good now without the shoulder drag characteristic of scandi knives.

I'm continuing to wait for the chicomms to make large bladed knives out of a decent carbon steel.
