Thats not at all "scary" just yer run of the mill short runway landing. They can be VERY much lower when there is no headwind to land into. Then they almost skim the fence...I,ll be there again and will be at the fence on the friday. ( best day for aircraft )

What do you expect in a town that DEPENDS on the tourists to make a living. Dont get me wrong Skiathos is a Great place to have a holiday. We stay at the far western side of the island, only 10 miles from all that noise.... And within walking distance of some of the finest beaches in Europe.

The Runway is only ONE MILE long. Beleive me they need all the power they have to get off the ground. Landings are hairy as well. So much so the captain warned us beforehand about the Very harsh braking and immediate reverse thrust on landing.

Even then we needed almost all of the mile to stop.
