Hi and thanks for your great comments! I think it would be better to get either a dedicated video camera or at least a (photo) camera with a high resolution. I use a Canon PowerShot A650 IS, which is no longer made, I think, and that is 12.1 megapixel and features built-in video. For whatever reason, it seems to be ideal for recording flute improvisations. Obviously, the audio isn't as high quality as what a regular video camera offers, but it is still very good. Avoid windy areas, though. There is no windscreen, and wind noise can ruin the audio. As for your setup, it could well be that the Logitech isn't the best thing for you, but that may be a premature judgment. If you're hearing squealing, check out how far away from the camera's mirophone you are. Too close will overload the signal. These little camera mic's are pretty robust, so you don't need to be right on top of them to get a decent signal. Hope this was helpful! Peace ~ Bruce
