We are a generation pushed into the Coventry grass on a hot summer day, while hearing scurrying of little kiddlings spend their days growing older, the squeaking of the long metal slide, squirming as splinters come out of our fingers, and watching fellow Clevelanders do the fight dance on a street fair.
We are a generation of silly offspring that grew up in the suburbs where suicide is a contagious fad -- where bullying is unavoidable -- where homosexuality is looked down upon -- where fat cops would rather speed into the drive through at Wendy's than after a criminal or to Dunkin' Donuts.
We are a generation where girls look like boys and boys look like girls, and androgynous people are beautiful. We live around prejudice people, racism, discrimination, but also acceptance. We live in a corrupt world, but still have the strength to walk out the door every morning, whether its to make a difference, think about making a difference, or beat some ass on the street corner.
We are a generation of crack heads, chain smokers, alcoholics, pot heads, gamblers, adrenaline and movie junkies, writers, sex addicts, skateboarders, musicians, risk takers, compulsive liars, and outright unhealthy human beings ... But, shit, we sure as hell turned out alright, huh?
