    Its Safe-Action. That's what Glock calls it. And you are correct about the slide stop. Its a stop, not a release. but the trigger block is a safety device. It keeps the trigger from traveling rearward and disengaging the other safeties. Cosmetics? yeah kinda but its also a safety item.

    @curalab I'm gonna recommend that you get either the Glock 23 or the 27. Both are excellent guns chambered in .40 S&W, the main difference being that the 27 is subcompact and the 23 is compact. I personally like the larger 23 because it is easier to handle and not too hard to conceal.

    @xanep9 there are Krinkov style guns made in 7.62 also. That was the original round the Krinkov chambered but they changed it out in favor of the new, smaller round when the gun finally got produced. A couple other countries made the 7.62 model anyway and probably still do.
