About this user
I'm a student of English and German at the University of Zurich.
I'm a great figure skating fan and I do some figure skating myself.
I started skating at the age of 14 (I thaught it to me myself) and for some years I liked to go skating now and then.
At the age of 19 I visited a skating course for adults (based on Ice Dancing) and I started practising waltz-jump and salchow myself.
Since mid-november 2007 I'm member of a figure skating club and practice on a regular basis (during the main season about 5 times a week). I want to start competing this season and I'm thinking about switching into senior skating in the future and maybe going to ISU Adult Figure Skating Competitions.
I'm definitely a better jumper than spinner. I can do all the single jumps (except for axel on which I'm working at the moment) as well as scratchspin (working on back scratch spin), sit spin, camel spin (working on catch-foot camel). I love doing spirals and I'm working really hard on my flexibility to improve them.
From September to end of November I had to take a break from skating due to health issues. I'm back on ice once or twice a week now, but only if I'm doing well enough.
