ARTIST BIO:
Abbey was born in 1979, and grew up at the Jersey Shore. She studied at Arcadia University, where she earned a BA in Scientific Illustration and a BFA in Painting. Later, Abbey moved to NYC where she attended Hunter College for her MFA in Painting. She has painted with David Leffel at the Art Students League, and with Charles Sovek at the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, MA. In addition to her studies, Abbey continues to be influenced by the time she spent in Northern California and Pohnpei, Micronesia. The artist currently lives in Philadelphia.
