Born in small-town North Carolina and cultured in Mid-Town Manhattan, DJ EXQ has the experience of a giant and the mannerisms of a picture-perfect 1960's poster child. His musical talents stem from the likes of Jazz-greats such as Miles Davis and John Coltrane, to today's top Djs and Producers such as Dieselboy, Scream, AK1200, Deadmau5, and Nero.

Before beginning his venture into the Electronic Dance Music scene during 2002, EXQ grew up with Generation X and all of it's heavy metal, hard rock, alternative & punk sound. From the legendary vocal & guitar work from such bands as Tool, Pantera, Dead Kennedys, Slayer, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Nirvana, and Alice In Chains; EXQ formed his early musical tastes. And, with the additions of such genres Jazz, Reggae, Hip Hop, & R&B EXQ has a permanently eclectic love for music.

Enter: Drum & Bass. EXQ's style on the decks is as full of deep, heavy bass lines; Sirenesque melodies; and mind-numbing high-hats, as possible!
