I am a celibate transgender and I am squarely against same-sex marriage because marriage is, historically, a heterosexual institution. Why do so many people think everyone has to be half of a couple to be a while person?!

@ShufflerMatt This music doesn't really fit into a specific genre. It's the typical amalgam of pop music and jazz that the early TV shows in the '50s usually featured. Keely Smith was an excellent singer but Louis Prima was nothing more than an annoying loudmouth.

Smoking is a filthy, disgusting drug addiction (not simply a bad habit). There is still a very permissive attitude toward smoking in the world and it needs to be given the demonization it deserves. And I'll laugh anyone off the thread who calls those electronic cancer sticks a "healthy choice."

I hope she's quit smoking for the sake of her voice, health, and image. How many human beings need to drop dead before people finally get it... You can't abuse your body and life a happy, productive life.

Adele is talented, but she smokes like a chimney. Fans need to start putting pressure on these singers to clean up their lifestyles.
