About this user

I am you! I am not a professional golf instructor or professional golfer. I am an enthusiastic admirer of this wonderful game and I have spent most of my adult life seeking the answer to my hooks, slices, shanks, fat shots and general screw ups on the golf course.
I am also the biggest sucker in the world for all things new about golf. Anything that even slightly suggests that I can discover the 'holy grail' of golf, I own. I have read way too many golf magazines, have taken way too many golf lessons and most certainly have way too many gadgets, swing aids, golf videos and other useless paraphernalia that seem like they should help but rarely do.
I am totally convinced that every golf instructor I have tried sees me as recurring revenue and only gives me enough information to keep me coming back, but not enough to actually give me what a want, that being a simple method to hitting consistent golf shots that I can take to the course, not just the driving range!
In my real life, I am a software engineer. This means I like to process things logically, simply and effectively. Frustrated by my lack of progress year after year, despite all the lessons and practice, I decided to see if I can use my skills as a software engineer to take different approach to this game I love. This is my result!
