Movies and Shows: TV: Gossip Girl, 30 rock, Everybody Hates Chris, South Park, Futurama and basically anything on Adult Swim MOVIES: Donnie Darko, Into the Wild, Once, Batman, Persepolis, I love Tim Burton too
Music: Mainly everything besides country and heavy metal/screamo stuff. My personal favorites are M.I.A., MF DOOM, Arcade Fire, The Beatles (seriously), Lily Allen, Kate Nash, The Fiery Furnaces, Radiohead, The White Stripes, J Dilla, David Torn, and the list goes on
Books: Even though they're comic books, Matt Groening's "Life in Hell" series are incredibly funny and intelligent. Also, Lord of the Flies, The Series of Unfortunate Events series (I got through the first 6 and then just sort of grew out of them I guess), and Garfield comics rock too. And plenty of magazines eg Blender and Entertainment Weekly.
