You can shoot at paper targets and do drills all day every day, but until you get out there with people shooting back at you, you have no idea what your missing out on. Even if its only "toy" guns and plastic bbs, the experience is invaluable.

@BladeofSorrow7 It must be hardened. I get the same results you described shooting steel plates. Even lead rounds, and thicker plates it digs quite the divot into it with raised jagged edges. They look like little volcanoes.

Theoretically the more tapered, base heavy 5.45 should tumble and deform more than the 5.56 but testing has shown the difference to be insignificant.
