If the version of ProDOS on the ADT disk is higher than 1.9, your unenhanced IIe will not boot.

It cost over £150 including labour to fix - and thankfully Apple repaired it as a goodwill gesture as many of those MacBooks experienced the same problems.

The lesson? Purchase AppleCare for any Macintosh.

Can the ProDOS version of ADTPro transfer DOS 3.3 and Pascal images? Will ADTPro successfully transfer 800k ProDOS disk images as all I've seen online are transfer to Disk II and Disk II family drives.

@poshko41 Yes they will - you need the disk images (.dsk files generally) for the Apple II. The serial transfer is a lot faster than an audio transfer - and the only way if you have an Apple IIc, IIc Plus or IIGS.

@Audioquest56 I am sure build quality wasn't great in Kenosha but keep in mind, Americans were probably assembling the cars the same way as in France. The powertrain was also made in France.

The Renault 9 and 11 in Europe were pretty horrible as well for reliability.
