About this user

Rune was born in 1977, and grew up in Voss,Norway . The musical path was sidetracked for a some years by doing meaningless sports, such as biathlon(where you run about on ski and shoot targets with a rifle.) But Rune took to his senses, and soon music, and playing guitar became his main interest. After attending a jazz festival in 1994 ,his focus on classical guitar slowly shifted to jazzguitar. In 1999 he moved to Leeds and studied at Leeds college of music and finished with a masters degree in 2003. Rune is now situated in Oslo where he makes a living as a musician, composer and teacher. He has played at major norwegian jazz festivals like "Vossa jazz"," Nattjaz" ,"Kibneb", "Soddjazz". His first cd with the duo Sonic stories and album "Feels like night" is now in the shops. Released on Vossa jazz records. His perhaps stongest hand is his acoustic
