Might be there the sticker (square about the size your pinky fingernail) on the video card(s) face pointing to the fan. I pulled that off (both) and it went away. Basically the sticker can get pulled down (a part of it) when fan was blowing and hitting the blades spinning.

All the various 'items' are plastic bottles w/ wrappers tailored to that. Then you throw them and count down and people have to clear that area or have that effect. Shields are allowed but then you can't have a gun (only melee weapons). We haven't played this style of nerf in awhile.
