@LordSauceness Well, let's not get excited here. Vai is ONE HELL OF A GUITARIST. The problem, to me, is, he's much like Neal Peart is on the drums: Overly technical proficient, yet unable to improvise at all. When I took lessons, my teacher taught me that there is a ladder of improvement, it star...

I once read an interview with Neal Peart that I think I mostly agree with. He said that anyone can learn to play in odd time, but the trick is to learn to play in odd time and make it feel as if it isn't. He pointed to Pink Floyd's "Money" as an example. However, these exotic signatures like 13/1...

@Dcarn23 I believe what HeartcoreMitRA is getting at is that you're taking a Marshall tone and coloring it with a Crate tone, or a Fender tone and coloring it with a Crate tone, etc. To hear the modeling as it's designed for, it needs to be plugged into a stereo or a keyboard amp. That way it doe...

@ruelsmith Neither one of them will actually sound good through a guitar amp. You're taking a sound that is colored and then coloring it with the amp. That just doesn't work well. Also, I know from the Boss that it completely sucks the tone out of your amp. I hear you can fiddle with it to get mo...

First of all, those screws are self-tapping, but they're not TapCons. TapCons are special screws that anchor into concrete. They're blue in color. Second, instead of aluminum tape, why not mastic? If you truly want to stop leakage in your duct, you want to use mastic to seal it.

I just have one question: Is there no radius to the fretboard? Is that a classical guitar thing, the radius built-in from the kit, or just something you missed? I'm a beginner guitar player and it would seem a flat fretboard would be a uncomfortable.
