A lot of you folks may already know Derek (Boogertoots, and also Vanillablooos) and are current subscribers, but for those of you who are not, he is one fine singer and musician! Check out his music when you can!
I was so impressed with his cover of this Hank Williams song that I had to sit in and sing along. I was going to wear my pocket T-shirt, but my wife said if Derek took the time to look nice, then so should I. Good thing I got my part down in a couple of takes, because I could not wait to get that tie off. (Had a little trouble breathing)
I also found a little church nearby that was perfect for the added footage to this project.
At first I assumed this song was written by Hank Williams Sr., but then discovered it was written by Claude Boone, BUT then discovered that Claude merely bought the song and rights for twenty-five dollars from James Arthur Pritchett who also went by the name Arthur Q. Smith. (Long mysterious story)
So, I gave Arthur Pritchett the credit since he actually wrote the song. His is a very interesting story if you are as unaware as I was of his songs. I am enclosing a link to the story if you are interested. It is after the two links to Dereks Youtube channels.

My wife had a great come back line for the one who said, "I don't drink a lot, but when I do, I sure get hot." The retort was, "Then, if I were you, I'd put that drink down right now!" Laughed so much about that line that I just had to put it into a song.
