Ryan Robinette Birthdate: November 2nd, 1987 Age:20 Music has been in and out of my life since I was brought into this world. My dad is an accomplished singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist. I remember rockin' around the living room with him when I was young. Me, I was in my undies with my little red toy guitar. My interest, or should I say my time since then, has been completely taken up by school sports. Played every sport for as long as I can remember. Then one summer I remember just picking up the guitar and asking Dad to teach me Sweet Home Alabama and Knockin' On Heaven's Door. He told me I lucked out because they were pretty much the same chords. He taught me three chords and the rest was history. I taught myself from there on out, and before I knew it, I was doing the same things I had always admired. It's going on six years now since that summer and along the way, I've been lucky enough to play with some friends who just so happened to be excellent musicians. With my first band we played a good number of shows, we played schools, parks, and pretty much anywhere we could (being underage). We broke up a year before I graduated high school and I've been writing and performing solo since, just me and my acoustic. We've been through alot together. Like I mentioned before, I was lucky enough to have FRIENDS that just so happened to be great musicians, so the band breaking up had no effect on our friendship, and it just so happened that when I wanted to record my first cd, they were there to help me. Which brings us up to now. I'm now attending college, and playing music when I'm not. Im open for bookings as a solo acoustic act, and im currently searching for bandmates. Recently I was featured on the Rick & Mary Morning Show (107.3) in Zanesville, Ohio with an interview followed by the airing of one of my singles from the first cd, "Another Broken Promise". Just following that I was featured on "Chill Out:An Acoustic Compilation" a cd produced by Quickstar Productions out of Baltimore, Maryland. The cd combined many acts from throughout the Midwestern U.S. to create a great cd. I am also featured on a radio station in Cambridge, Ohio. The station is WCMJ 96.7FM, and I have been interviewed, followed by the airing of ABP. And I am now in active/requestable rotation on that station 96.7FM (740-432-9696 to request or email at msj@wcmj.com) I'm excited about the new stuff I'm writing as well, and can't wait to get it out for everyone! I believe I mature as a songwriter and singer with every new song I write, and hopefully that never changes. I've said since I've started that if I can reach one new person with my music a day, a week, a month, or even a year, then hey, that's one down. Hope you enjoy my music.
