In the first movie, I resented the fact that they killed off one of the main Autobot characters. Jazz had been around for almost the entire run when the transformers first came out. But, all round the first movie was pretty good,

I thought this movie was pretty good, but felt that it seemed to deviate from the original storyline a bit.

A minor correction to this review. The Americans used harpoon missiles. The destroyers would have closed to launch their torpedoes. As they were traveling in two groups it wouldn't have been that big of a problem to set up the attacks. Remember what happened at Leyte Gulf when the Japanese tried to use their battleships against the US invasion fleet.

One point that seems to be missed here was that German and Japanese pilots were flown to their deaths, while experiences Allied pilots were rotated out to train the newer pilots. This was one of the major deciding factors in the air war.

I noticed that this video omits the invaluable contribution made by the Republic P47 Thunderbolt. It earned a reputation as a devestating ground attack plane in its own right.

One of the things about this movie that was right on target. The Germans lost so many Stuka Divebombers that the Germans had to withdraw them from the battle.

Actually the biggest reason the British was victorious was they included an American invention in their war plans and battle formations: The Gatling Gun.

On a final point let me mention that the Empire's battle tactics are far different from the Federation. Weapons and technology is fine, but tactics make the difference and win battles.

@DoctorStrangeFate Unfortunately, most of star Wars weaponry seems based on particle cannon technology rather than laser weapons. Starfleet shielding has a problem dealing with that type of weaponry.

That is one scared cat. One of mine goes crazy like that when I take her to the vet. I have to talk to her and calm her down.
