About this user
RPM Barrel Racing was created to give barrel racers of all experience levels an opportunity to participate in professionally conducted events at local-level arenas. We are located in southwest Missouri, but our riders come from all over. We have riders that are just getting into the sport and others who have a lifelong commitment to the old saying, "Turn and Burn!" We feel it is this mix of experience levels that draws the crowd. Well, that and the payouts!
We are often asked, What does RPM Barrel Racing mean?. If you are familiar with the acronym RPM, you know it stands for revolutions per minute. This is just another way of saying, speed. Typically this phrase is associated with engines. However, when it comes to real horse power, RPM is a measure of how fast a rider and his/her horse can make it around the barrels.
RPM Barrel Racing follows the BBR (Better Barrel Races) guidelines and code of conduct for our events. By continually putting on events that follow the same structure, riders know what quality to expect. For more information about BBR, visit our About Better Barrel Races page or go to www.betterbarrelraces.com.
In 2010 we will have a circuit of nine races, as well as a final race. To be qualified for the finals, you must attend six of the nine races. Throughout the season, 20% of all entries will be put towards the final race, allowing for a finals payout that will be substantially larger. In addition to this, there will be added money.
Have your horse ready because you do not want to miss out on these events!
