About Roy Schneider, American Singer/Songwriter
I've been a serious songwriter and festival performer for many years and began touring nationally in early 2009 (I was kinda busy with my syndicated daily comic strip, "The Humble Stumble" until March of 2008). Please check out my homepage at http://www.royschneider.com for songs, photos, bio, press kit, etc.
If you've never heard of house concerts and like the idea of a professional quality live music performance happening right in your living room, you can read up on hosting at www.concertsinyourhome.com. It's a ton of fun for a small amount of work!

Somewhere between everyday truths, personal life experience, imagination and compassion with a bit of humor and grit, Roy Schneider writes songs that come from the heart.
From a garage band rock-star wannabe to a teenage runaway, to an under-age union factory worker, to a traveling Deadhead, to a toy designer and animator... Through national comic strip syndication, marriage, divorce, spiritual searches and years of single parenthood, Roy Schneider has stories to tell. And with nearly 25 years dedication to fingerstyle and flatpicked guitar, harmonica and vocals, theres no more complete way for him to tell them than in song.
Originally from the Boston area and having lived in Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Asheville (NC), the Detroit area and everywhere in-between, today Roy is based in South Florida and carries two decades of live performance experience. From sidewalks to national festival stages, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, house concerts and private events, he believes the house concert to be the most fulfilling experience for both audience and performer.
"That human connection with the listener is what folk and other non-contrived music forms are all about," says Roy. "When you take away all the barriers required for a public show, when you can give a little gab on where a song came from and the people can hear what you're saying, I think everyone gets more out of the music and has a better overall experience. Hopefully everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a song in their head. I've only done a handful of house concerts at this point, but I fear they may be addictive."
Roy Schneider's music has been played on syndicated radio show The Grateful Dead Hour and various public, mainstream, college and internet radio stations. He has two all-original CDs, "Roy Schneider and the Roadside Turtle Rescue" (2008) and "The Humble Sessions" (2007).
