Hardly ever in the history of reggae has a musician switched bands simultaneously with such a high degree of success as Desmond Bonner. Born on June 30, 1980; also known as Roy grew up in the beautiful island of Jamaica, he teaches himself to play the drums. It all began at the age of (7) when Roy started to express his talent through drums. It is at this tender age wear he played at the Rebottal Convention From that moment, life in the music world began for Roy, where he continues to play for the church. While still young at the age of (11); he performed at his first show with a well known artist, Joan Flemmings in the Echo in the night production. In 1996, Desmond began to play for the popular gospel group Grace Thrillers. From then he has always strive for the top& he continues to work to be the best. But this was just the peak of what is to come into his life. he always say Music good. He can deliver different types of rhythm & he has always maintained his heritage or culture music (reggae). By 1998, at age of (18), he performed on the Gospel Train with Lester Lewis. Immediately after Roy entered National solo musical competition were he displays his talent & woe the judges with his
hard-hitting drumming style. He was given awards
such as: 'Jamaica Youth for Christ' Many more As life progress, Roy was unstoppable with his music.The beautiful island J.A could not hold his talent. So he was blessed with a lot of tours with various artists.Roy started to tour in the Caribbean island such as:(Antigua & Barbuda" Montserrat" St. Maarten
St. Christopher & Nevis" British Virgin Islands
Turks & Caicos Island" Barbados) He has travel International such as: ( U.K" USA" Canada" Nigeria ) As an upcoming musician he has worked with various artist .Such as:Catalyst'' Carlene Davis'' Lester Lewis'' Grace Thrillers
Portmore Vision'' Chevelle Franklyn Judith Mowatt)

Jermaine Edwards'' Edwin Myers'' Nvoy'' Melvin ( voice Willis) & Many more By the year 2001, Roy had backed up the well known gospel artist Ryan Bough at the JCDC Gospel Festival production. For his wonderful work & drumming skills the following next year 2002, he was given the opportunity to backed up the entire JCDC Gospel Festival production. He has performed live & also shares stage with artist Internationally such as: Shirley Seizer'' CC Waynes Richard Smallhood' Fred Harmon Desmond is an hardworking individual that always give back whatever he have to the church. He has hold position such as Minister Of Music for churches.They are Valley Christian Min' International in Portmore & Hellshire United.During his time spent playing at churches, he has worked for Evangelist Errol Hall as his primary drummer & band leader for their ministry.Desmond has also worked at the Music Mart industry where he performs duties as a Sale Representative & drum technician. Following all these events Roy was then inspired to be an engineer & drums repairs. He is now currently performing duties such as stage engineer at P&W industry. He also was involved with the installation process of P.A. at the Supreme Court in J.A .He also establishes a self employed business that entail purchasing & delivering musical equipments. Desmond also known as Roy is a influential musician that has touch souls through his music. But through all his success it would not be possible without the Lord. God always bless his people.
